My home computer is a very old iMac (OS 10.1.2 I think). Its not good for many things but I can, if I want to, copy CDs on to it. I'm thinking of getting an MP3 player and am just wondering if they would all be compatible with a Mac. Home internet access is also rubbish so downloading anything is out of the question - all I would want to do is copy songs from CD to the computer and then to the MP3 player. I *think* I read somewhere than an MP3 player acts just like a memory stick and I can copy things on to memory sticks without any problem in which case doing the same with an MP3 player also shouldn't be a problem. Does this sound right? Thanks in advance!

That should be ok. Not a Mac expert; but I am sure you might just be able to go on to a file manager program and just copy & paste.

It should work so long as the software used to copy the CD converts the audio files to MP3 or another format compatible with your MP3 player (.aac format in the case of an iAnything)

Cheers both. I am just about to splash out almost nine whole pounds on one from Amazon so you had better be right! ;D (Actually it comes with a radio as well so if it doesn't work with the CD's it not a disaster!)

Steady on.... that's almost as much as the CD cost in the first place ;-)
