Here's a question. I swam 100 lengths tonight (2.5 kilometers) and was rather pleased with myself but I was wondering if there's a "marathon" distance for swimmers?

Flipping heck 10k seems barely achievable but 25k !!! That's just stunning.

It will appeal to the swimmers who have the same mindset as ultra runners - those people who find that a marathon just isn't enough of a challenge...

1k seems a lot, but 10k? 25k?! That's just silly. A mate of mine, Giles, once did a 5k swimathon

I reckon at a push I might be able to achieve 5k with training, though some of that may be straight down.
