I ran my first race this year! In fact it's my first race sine VLM11 . It was great to see Dave again after such a long break from racing and it was also great to meet another fellow sportist Neilster! I went in feeling quite happy, I hadn't done a great deal of training so knew not to expect a pb, which I didn't. It has a couple of killer hills in it but other than that it's mostly flat or down hill. I was doing this race as a bench mark of time and to we where I was, what infuriated me the most about this race was that I got a stitch twice throughout it and it really did affect me mentally and it stopped me pushing harder, I felt I was just had to maintain a certain pace so it didn't keep returning, I did wonder what the point was and came close to walking out of frustration, but I persevered and the last mile didn't seem so painful. I finished with a watch time of 52.45. Avg pace 8:27 Mile 1 - 9:09 Mile 2 - 8:22 Mile 3 - 8:34 Mile 4 - 8:17 Mile 5 - 8:26 Mile 6 - 8:11 .2 - 7:23 I have attached a couple of pictures, me coming into the finish and Dave, Me and Neilster at the end with our medals. Now it's roll on Tunbridge Wells Half Marathon in February. Attachments:

Well done today Jelly, that was a hard course today with the lakes of water at the start and the slippery hard turns and cobbles at the end. Very nice to meet you, Pete, Dave and the doggies
