Tried the 11s on last year when I went to get my New Balance 660s and they didn't feel quite right.
The GTS 12s seem to have a bit more cushioning in them. They are so comfortable.
My first run was slightly painful (hip issue) but other than that, I've had no issues at all with them. I love them!

I've been using the Adrenaline series since the 9, and they work well for me (size 9, 2E width, for what it's worth, with orthotic insoles - without the orthotics, I'd need to use a motion control shoe for sure...)
Agree with the point on the 12s having more cushioning - the 11s work well for me, but the 12s just seem that bit more comfortable. They're reasonably durable, too - the pair of 12s that I've been using over the last few months have almost 500 miles on them, and still feel OK (although I've been using them for shorter runs recently to be on the safe side).

I only got just over 200 miles from my New Balance 660s. Am hoping I get more from my Brooks.

I'm a heavy runner (just under 16 stone) and use Adrenaline - had the GTS11s before the 12s and found them to be equally as good.
The general fit is far better on my feet than the fit I get from a Nike or Adidas shoe. I tried on an Asics but they felt too spongy for me. The Brooks seem to offer just the right amount of support and 'feel' for the road, i.e. it doesn't feel like your running on a mattress !
Even at my weight I get 300-400 miles out of a pair before the tread starts to wear to the point of it being slippy to run in the wet. I guess the sole material is also getting pretty shot by then but I can still use them occasionally. Guess the good thing is that, now I've found a shoe I like I just need to source them from anywhere as I know the size, width fitting etc without having to try them on.

I know what you mean - my current 'main' shoes (and the next ones in line) are both Adrenaline GTS 11s, bought from SportsShoes at about £30 per pair less than the usual price - I knew that they would work for me because I've worn through a pair of them already!
